Our mission

To keep great hardware in circulation, support legacy systems, and help customers repair, restore, and build with confidence—wherever they are.

Classic hardware. Clear answers. Shipped to your door.

The Computer Attic is an online shop for vintage computer hardware, legacy parts, and classic tech—built for collectors, repair pros, hobbyists, and anyone keeping older systems running.

Founded in 2011, we’re proudly based in St. Clair Shores, Michigan and we primarily sell online, carefully packing and shipping orders to customers everywhere.

What we sell

Our inventory rotates, but our focus stays consistent:

  • Vintage hardware & peripherals (classic systems, monitors, keyboards, mice, and more)
  • Legacy replacement parts for repairs and restorations
  • Cables & adapters that bridge older and newer connections
  • Hard-to-find components for retro builds and specialty setups

Why people shop with us

We aim to feel like the helpful neighborhood shop—just online—while staying professional and detail-oriented.

  • Compatibility-minded support: we pay attention to interfaces, form factors, revisions, and real-world fit
  • Straightforward listings: clear descriptions so you know what you’re buying
  • Careful handling & packing: older electronics deserve extra care in storage and shipping
  • Practical, friendly help: no gatekeeping, no unnecessary jargon—just useful guidance

Looking for a specific part?

If you’re tracking something down, send the details you have (model number, interface, photos, or what it’s going into). We’ll help you narrow it down and avoid the common “almost-compatible” mistakes.
